AES
has the capability to provide a wide range of services
spanning all aspects of project management and consultancy
relating to electronics, communications, fabrication, design
and procurement. The
company has worked with local small to medium enterprises
and large,
complex
national
projects.
For
example AES was invited, by the Lincoln College board,
to write a tender for the supply, installation
and commissioning of a data network and telephone system
with CADD for the 246 international students who are
in residence there.
The
company also project managed the installation of the
TIGER (Tasman International Geospace Environment Radar)
project for Latrobe University.
TIGER will be part of the expanding Super Dual Auroral
Radar Network (SuperDARN) developed by scientists from
different countries to study the ionosphere. The installation
is on Bruny Island which is a 25 minute
ferry trip
south of
the Tasmanian
mainland.
AES performed the team lead role for the installation
and set to work of Vertical and Oblique Ionospheric Sounders
and Transponders for the JORN (Jindalee Operational Radar
